Rudolf Dassler moved to another family-owned building, converted the warehouse into a factory together with his 14 employees and founded his own company: The 'Sportschuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler (RUDA)'
was registered as a company in January 1948 and took over a few months later , on June 1, 1948, the operation on. It took another four months for the PUMA brand to be born: on October 1, 1948, 'PUMA' was registered with the German Trademark and Patent Office.
